Hanyang University is one of the leading private universities in Korea, with a total of 20 various colleges and 12 postgraduate schools. The main campus is located northeast of downtown Seoul while the second campus is in Ansan. The total undergraduate student population is approximately 22,000 and there are about 3,500 postgraduate students in a wide variety of disciplines. Approximately 150 international students from different countries participate in undergraduate and post-graduate programs each year. There are about 1,000 faculty members involved in instruction and research, and 750 staff and professional personnel. Hanyang has bestowed more than 170,000 degrees since its foundation in 1939.
