Hanyang has been committed to academic and professional excellence, with graduates playing active roles in areas of expertise, both domestically and internationally.
In 1994, Hanyang initiated mid & long-term development plans to promote more effective research and teaching activities in response to a burgeoning demand for higher education and rapidly changing social environments in the country. To promote its academic standing, Hanyang developed an ambitious plan in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the University, which is to gain recognition as one of the top 100 universities in the world by the year 2039.
