INTERNATIONAL Summer School
Hanyang International Summer School id Hanyang University’s one progressive step to further our globalization efforts and commitment to excellence. It provides participaants with a better understanding of Korea and Northeast Asia in general.

  • Hanyang International Summer School is a 4-week program where students get the
    opportunity to study abroad and experience Korean culture in a unique way.
    Students can take up to 3 classes (9 credits / 18 ECTS), and participate in various
    fieldtrips and extra-curricular activities.
  • Every year, Hanyang invites renowned professors to teach courses on HISS. These
    professors come from all over the world to contribute to the internationalization of
    the program. All courses are fully taught in English.
  • The various field trips each have their own theme. This can be touristic, cultural and
    historical, industry related, leisure and entertainment, outdoor, etc. Through these
    fieldtrips and activities students can immerse themselves in Korean culture and get
    the most out of their time in Korea.
  • A wide-range of courses are offered including Korean Studies, Humanities, Business,
    Economics, International Relations, Media & Communication, Design, Science,
    Sports, and Korean language.
  • Students’ grade is evaluated through tests, assignments, class attendance, and,
    participation, and is usually graded on 4.0 scale. Grades are recorded and it can be,
    transferred to students’ school and Hanyang University will send transcript directly,
    to all the students who attended HISS for free.
  • You can also create life lasting friendships with the Hanyang Buddy Students, who,
    will introduce you to a whole new culture and surroundings, and also other,
    international students who you can make unforgettable memories with in Korea.
