Introduction

'Vocal music' is an important genre of music that expresses and creates human emotions and ideas based on human voices as a concept compared to 'instrumental music'. Vocal music can be formed only when the human body based on the human vocal cords and the psychological and mental actions are harmonized, and often it is composed together with instrumental accompaniment. The greatest feature of vocal music is that it requires 'language' as lyrics. Therefore, it has developed close relationship with literary arts regardless of time.

In the department of vocal music, 1: 1 practical classes are held between professors and students who can systematically study correct vocalization, breathing, correct pronunciation of the language, interpretation and expression of songs to develop students' musical talents related to vocal music. In addition to practical classes, there are also solid theoretical lessons that allow a broad understanding of vocal music and musical arts in general and well-rounded education because "person" is the most direct subject of vocal music. Ultimately, it is the ultimate goal of vocal music to cultivate excellent professional vocalist who sublimates human voice and language into arts, which is richer in emotional expression than any other musical instrument.
