[The Korea Times] Hanyang University Graduates Make Up 4.7 percent of Executives in the Top 30 Korean Companies

Research done by Job Korea on April 4th of this year showed that men occupy 96% of executive seats at Korea’s top 30 biggest companies according to 2018 market capital. Among the 2,962 executives in the research findings, one in four holds a foreign university diploma. The rate of foreign diploma holders has increased by 3 percent since 2016. In terms of domestic degree holders, those who graduated from Hanyang University accountd for 4.7 percent of the total or 139 executives. Seoul National University graduates make up 11.1 percent or 329 executives, Yonsei University 6.9 percent or 204 executives, Korea University (6.7 percent or 198), KAIST (6.2 percent or 183), followed by Hanyang University. 73.3 percent of executives were in their 50s, and the average age was 52.9.
