In the April 25 issue of the Electronic Newspaper, we published an article about the SW (Software) Platform Center for ICT Equipment at Hanyang University. Hanyang’s SW Platform Center for ICT Equipment (Professor Jeong Jae-chang, director) has provided 180 companies with industry-academic cooperation over five years, resulting in 12 billion won in savings.
It was established with the support of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Information to secure the domestic ICT equipment market share. The center systematically supported ICT equipment software design, development, testing, and certification activities developed by small businesses. Also, it provided technical training and professional one-on-one technical consulting to train manpower for small and medium-sized companies who have difficulty securing professional workforces.
Professor Jeong Jae-chan of the Electronic Engineering department said, "We will continue to provide corporate support by utilizing the infrastructure and experience we have gained, although the government support project is scheduled to end in April this year.” He also added, “We will help expand the competitiveness of domestic companies."
