Discovering the connection between LGR5 and human neuroblastoma, intracranial meningioma, and pituitary tumors

Han Myung-hoon, a professor in the Department of Neurosurgery (Hanyang University Guri Hospital Neurosurgery) was awarded the ‘Den-Mei Brain Tumor Education Foundation’ award at the ‘2019 Asia Brain Tumor Society Symposium’ held in Taiwan on September 28th.
The title of this presentation was ‘LGR5 and downstream intracellular signaling proteins which play critical roles in the cell proliferation of neuroblastoma, meningioma, and pituitary adenoma.’ The contents of the presentation included the discovery in the connection between Leucine-rich repeat-containing G-protein coupled receptor 5 (LGR5) and human neuroblastoma, intracranial meningioma, and pituitary tumors.
