[Admission ]Hanyang University Office of Admissions releases the 2021 Rolling Admissions Registration Strategy video

Hanyang University Office of Admissions (Chief Lee Jae-jin) released a video clip on September 15 titled ‘2021 Registration Strategy Guide’ on its website to help examinees apply for rolling admissions. The video was produced for students that could not obtain information on entrance exams due to the cancellation of admissions briefing sessions and fairs because of the influence of COVID-19. In the video, the admissions officer that actually proceeds the evaluation explains in detail regarding the △ student record curriculum screening, △ student record comprehensive screening, and △ essay test that are the major rolling admissions screenings of Hanyang University along with the frequently asked questions. Furthermore, by revealing the detailed results of this year’s registration status and last year’s student record curriculum screening and essay test scores, and the 2021 Hanyang University rolling admission operation rules, they made content that can actually provide help to setting registration strategies for the examinees. [Admission ]Seong-dong gu Holds 'Drive-in University Admission Briefing' at Hanyang University

Hanyang University is participating at Seong-dong gu's 'Drive-in University Admission Briefing' that will be held on September 3rd. Seong-dong gu announced on the 30th that they will hold the even in a drive-in form, considering the COVID-19 epidemic. The Salgogee park, the place where the briefing will be held, is capable of having 200 vehicles parked. In the first part of the briefing, the director of 'The Giant's Shoulder Education Center' Kim Hyung-ill will introduce the university entrance strategy on '2021 University Entrance Preparation'. In the second part of the briefing, a university introduction with the admission officers of Hanyang University will be held. The documents for the briefing will be held out to the participants remaining in their vehicles, along with the body temperature checking. [Admission ]2021 University admission plan changes… How will Hanyang University proceed?

The Korean Council for University Education (hereinafter the Council) announced the 2021 university admission implementation plan changes on August 30 according to the spread of COVID-19 for the safe operation of university examinations. [Admission ]Hanyang University Opens an Early Admission Consultation Cafe for 2021..."Online Consultation through Video Calls"

Hanyang University will be opening an early admission online counseling cafe for 2021 for 4 days from August 10th-14th (excluding the 13th). Unlike other early admission counseling cafes, this time it will be carried out online through pre-reserved time. Any examinees or parents who wish their chilren to apply for Hanyang University can apply to participate. Applications start on August 3rd at 11 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Each consultation will be 10 minutes long. The admissions officer can provide information on admission, offer admission counseling, and answer questions but willl not be able to provide any counseling on individual school records or information on acceptance and rejection. [Admission ]Hanyang University Recruiting Graduate School Students for the Department of Entrepreneurship

Until the 14th, Hanyang University is recruiting freshmen of graduate school department of entrepreneurship for 2020 Fall semester. The master's program for the department of entrepreneurship had been established to develop creativity-integrated leaders with creative thinking skills, entrepreneurship, and global startup capabilities, and to enforce research related to starting a new business. The curriculum of the department of entrepreneurship is made up of a total of 4 levels of systematic and professional curriculum which are △Entrepreneur capability development △Capturing business chances and developing business plans △Startup business management and △Development and withdrawal. The faculty are comprised of full-time professors with experience ranging from startup business management, being lead officers of the office of small and medium-sized businesses, being KOSDAQ CEOs, serving on the board of directors of medium-sized businesses, holding doctoral degrees in business, being global consultants, and more. This provides adequate studies for students who aim to experience both practical business and startup-integration studies. The students of the department of entrepreneurship will be provided with various support through the Hanyang University Startup Support Foundation, such as startup space, mentoring, tax accounting, and legal support. Outstanding students will also receive scholarships. Hanyang University Startup Support Foundation is operating education, training, and opening global outreach programs to develop startup leaders, as well as creating more than 100 startup businesses every year through supervising programs such as beginning startup packages and pre-startup packages that are being operated from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. Cho Nam-suk (Graduate School, Department of Entrepreneurship, 3rd year), who developed drones that use solar panels, mentioned that "the advancement of techniques was made possible by real-life startup track curriculum and specified mentoring after entering the graduate school." [Admission ]ERICA Campus Admission Acceptance Rate for 2020, recording 6.02:1

The regular admissions for Hanyang University's ERICA Campus for the 2020 school year have been finalized. The final on-time competition rate was 6.02 to 1, which is closed at 5 p.m. on December 31. In terms of admission quota, in the group ‘Ga’, 2,649 students applied to 503 positions on the regular admissions, recording 5.27 to 1 as a competition rate. Also, 1,477 students applied to 182 positions in the group ‘Na’, recording the rate of 8.12 to 1. In total, 4,126 students applied to 685 positions, resulting in a rate of 6.02 to 1. This is a 1.16 decrease from the previous year's competition rate of 7.18 to 1. However, considering all the numbers including outside the admission quota, the competition rate is 5.70 to 1 as 4,699 students applied to 824 positions. The highest competition rate was in the field of Applied Music (Vocal major) in the group ‘Na’, as 551 students applied for three positions, recording 183.67 to 1. Besides the Applied Music, group ‘Ga’ has the highest competition rate in the field of Chinese Studies (6.92:1) and French Studies (6.91:1). The regular admissions for Hanyang University's Seoul campus for the 2020 school year have been finalized. The final on-time competition rate, which is closed at 6 p.m. on December 31, edged down to 4.99 to 1 compared to last year. 2,254 students applied to 305 positions on the regular admissions (Group ‘Ga’), recording 7.39 to 1 as a competition rate. Also, 2,195 students applied to 587 positions (Group ‘Na’), recording the rate of 3.74 to 1. In total, 4,449 students applied to 892 positions, resulting in a rate of 4.99 to 1. This is a 0.23 decrease from the previous year's 5.22 to 1 competition rate. In the group ‘Na’(admission category), Mathematics Education recorded 7.86 to 1. Hanyang University recruits '2019 Hanyang Global IC-PBL Frontier'. A presentation introducing the program will be held in Room 210 of HIT on November 5 at 5 PM. 'Hanyang Global IC-PBL Frontier' is a global research program that students form teams and choose research objectives, plan by themselves, and visit governmental organizations, local governments, research institutes, universities, and companies abroad to solve their questions. The themes and fields for this program are ▲designated topics (4 teams): 'Ways to realize Hanyang University Social Innovation' and ▲free topics (6 teams): 'Society, Education, Art, Economy, Politics, Sports, Environment, Welfare, Science, Informatization'. It is encouraged to set a creative and innovative topic that fits participants' major field.
