Research Institutes
Takes new approach methods
based on convergence research.
Research Institutes take ‘convergence research’ as the core idea.
University Research Institute is differentiated from other research institutes that it focuses on convergence research while others only focuses on specific area of study. It converges majors like natural science with medicine, and economics with engineering. Through this convergence, researchers can develop new approaches and methodologies that have not been found in previous studies.
Hanyang University have been promoting the establishment of Research Institute that pursues convergence from 2014. The procedure to establishing the center is simplified enough that it can be established by the registration document and the approbation by the industry-university cooperation team. Thanks to the simplification process, the number of the center is expected to grow even further.
